Sina Aboutalebi, MD, FAAD

 

Dr. Sina Aboutalebi is a board-certified dermatologist who treats patients of all ages with their skin care needs. He performs medical and surgical dermatology with a focus on skin cancers. His professional interests are varied and include treatment and management of conditions such as acne, moles, eczema, rosacea, warts along with multiple other skin disorders. He performs full body examinations and focuses on the prevention and treatment of skin cancers such as basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma.

 

Dr. Aboutalebi is a native of the DFW metroplex and graduated cum laude with a degree in biology from the University of Dallas. Following college, he worked closely with the community as a high school biology teacher and volleyball coach at MacArthur High School in Irving, TX. In 2001 he attended medical school at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, TX where he was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and graduated with honors in 2005. Following medical school, Dr. Aboutalebi completed an internship in internal medicine and residency in dermatology at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center where he became well-versed in medical and surgical dermatology. He gained extensive exposure to complex surgical cases and Mohs micrographic surgery during his training due to the overwhelming number of skin cancers in West Texas. Dr. Aboutalebi has worked previously in Abilene and Fort Worth, TX where he has had the privilege to work closely with a wide range of patients from different backgrounds. He is excited to be part of the team in Abilene and Brownwood and looks forward to working with the community in the years to come.

 

Dr. Aboutalebi is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD). He is also a member of other local and national organizations such as the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Texas Dermatological Society, and Dermatology Foundation. During his free time, Dr. Aboutalebi enjoys spending time with his family and trying to keep up with hobbies such as golf and biking.
